Tivo noob

Hi,

Im looking to get a a HDD based recorder to record anf time shift TV.

Im not sure exactly what Tivo is, but ive heard its good, so im trying to find out more.
- Can anyone help me?

Where can i buy or look at a tivo unit?

And a well known auction site.

TiVos are no longer sold new in this country. But don't let that put you off, they're still the best around (unless you NEED multiple tuners/bitstream recording/dolby5.1).

As for looking at one, whereabouts in the countr are you?
