Thanks to Jonathan for hanging out with me all day long: he's a trooper! I rode all 12, and with the great weather it was a perfect day. Some were better than I expected (Avalanche, Anaconda, Volcano, Grizzly) and some were worse (Hypersonic XLC, Flight of Fear), but I love going on coasters that are "new" to me.
On the littlest kiddie coaster, Taxi Jam, they have a webcam installed in the dashboard of each car, and it runs during the entire ride. I held up the TiVo guy and had a great time mugging with him for the camera, and was prepared to pay whatever exhorbitant cost they were asking. But only season pass holders could get a copy of it. Shucks!
It was nice to see familiar faces and meet the new ones, especially the young'uns. And of course Fofer had to show up from across the planet and steal my out-of-towner thunder. Maybe next time we'll get him on something a little more modern and grown-up than Rebel Yell.
Nah, I had to ride those anyway. It was nice to be able to split up to eat/ride and still have connectivity through the cell phones. Glad the little ones had fun: amusement parks fortunately still keep an area that's all about them, even with all of the big kids' rides being added.
Even I got to ride 2 coasters! OK - so they were both n kiddie land but that's the way I like it. It was good seeing you all. We had fun and the kiddo was beat after the long day at the park. I only wish we could have stayed for scarryaoke.
