I have two digiboxes in the house. One was bought at a time when Sky were doing some special deal - I forget the details. I imagine I have a dual LNB wotsit too (I take very little itnrerst in it as it's for the kids - I have cable!).
The second subs was low but conditional upon it using the same phone line as the first. Sky sent ever more threatening letters saying they would increase the 2nd sub if I didn't connect to the same line. So I called them and told them to increase the subs, which they did some months ago.
I just got the threatening letter again (!!) so I wondered if I could save a few bob by temporarily hooking them to the same phone and forcing a dial-up. Anyone know 1) how to force a call home and 2) whether this would be a permanent solution (i.e. if I connected them say once a month and forced a dial, would it look right at Sky's end...?)
The difference between theory and real life is that in theory, there is no difference between theory and real life, but in real life, there is a difference.
