AOL email

I'm not an AOL email user, but I think a first step would be to have several of the people using an AOL email account to specifically request from AOL that they let this mail through. I can think of nothing more powerful for the ISP to recognize something as legitimate than for the user to demand it be let through.

AOL is aware of it and it could be up to 72 hours to be revolved! Ouch!

Is this fixed?

Not an AOL user here, but I notice mail is now coming from <tivo-system@fractal2.avsforum.com> instead of <apache@fractal2.avsforum.com>.

Hi...That address is the return address for return mail to the server itself. (Note the server name is not tivocommunity.com) This is different than to a reply to address.

"Apache" was the default name for the user on the server running the PHP processes. It seems that AOL blocks all mail that has the default return address. So, we made a user "tivo-system" to get around that full block of apache@*.* by AOL.

So that along with other changes, we should be good to go. They also added us to their whitelist.

If it's fixed, do we still need the announcement banner?
