This is the first time I watch this series. I've watched the first four episodes and I like it so far. I'm recording seasons 1 and 2 this week, but I'm transfering to my PC as I go along since I'll end up with around 40 episodes. Then I'll just pull a couple of episodes back down to TiVo every week as I continue to watch the series.

Don't forget that season 3 was actually called 'Seaquest 2032'. You'll probably need a separate SP.

Or just not TiVo it at all.. 2032 was quite different...

BTW, the DVDs were out Dec 26th. I can't find them at the store, though. Said they didn't get it in their shipment.

I found one lone copy at my local Best Buy. Either the demand was so low that they didn't order many, or they sold out fast.

I liked the show. Wasn't the 'Wesley-like' kid in a Chuck Norris movie?

I didn't like the twist (didn't want to spoil it) that made the 3rd season plot line.

I watched a few episodes of this back in the day... so i tried to actually watch the episodes from the beginning.

If they capton "PIRATE SUBMARINE HK-4" one more god damn time, i'm gonna find a watertower.

Also, now i remember why i never watched ... this show was horrible.

Just FYI the actor (Jonathan Brandis) that played Lucas died in an apparant suicide a few years ago.

I like Seaquest when it was first one, and find it fun to watch again. I was going to netflix the dvd's, but the SP is good enough.

I've watched three episodes so far and I'm enjoying it. I still don't care for the kid or the dolphin, though.

I watched the first season when it aired and some of the second. I saw a couple of episodes from the third year, but wasn't too impressed.

Yes, he was in SideKicks, coincidentally, which came out the same year as he did Ladybugs, with Rodney Dangerfield.

Ladybugs was actually kind of funny...

Tying this into a previous thread, I've only seen DSV twice, years apart (once in the original run, once in the last couple days), and it was the same episode!

Something about a delagation or trade conference or something, and a bunch of psychics come on board to help Roy Scheider. As they're being shown around the ship, they go through the weightroom where some young guy(Lucas?) and Hitchcock(Stacey Haiduck) are working out, and the psychic turns around as she leaves the room and asks, "Hitchcock naked?" That was about all I saw the first time around, but this time, I saw a few minutes before that scene, and watched till the end of the episode.

(First 3 times I saw "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" were the episode "Witch"(1st season))

darn!

darn it! i set up my seasonpass today and will catch the rest of the eps but i missed most of them. how is it i never know when these whole season per day broadcasts are going on? i even signed up for the upoc sci-fi group last week, i would have hoped i'd hear about this sort of thing thru that.

i really liked seaquest, wasn't it on around the same time as earth2? those were some nice years in my undergrad. *happy memories*

just caught the note about 2032 today..only 3 eps this afternoon..did i miss any earlier this week?

also did anyone notice that the one scientist in ep 3 or 4 was the leader of the "7 days" project?....he must have aged a lot in a few years because he was totally different in 7 days.

seaQuest 2032 is what they renamed the show in it somewhat odd 3rd season.

Today is the first day SciFi has run any of season 3, however so far this week they've run 23 episodes from season 1 (all but 1 ep), and 7 episodes from season 2. (With 7 more season 2 episodes scheduled for today).

I've checked the episode guide, and it looks like they are not showing several of the episodes from season 2, including the season 2 premier that introduces the new sub and some new cast. They dropped one episode from season 1, and appear to be dropping several episodes from season 2 at random. What gives? Are they trying to "encourage" people to buy the DVDs by not showing certain episodes?

I noticed this too. I was watching one that was obviously a season finale. The episode immediately following had a bunch of new characters and it looked like we missed out on some stuff. I haven't seen this show since it originally aired. One thing that makes it dated is their use of the word "internet" in every episode. they make it sound like it's some mysterious futuristic thing that's always down.

Actually, it's "Internex", not "internet". Look at the screen.

I found the DVD set today, haven't checked it out yet.
