My only post to this thread will be to say that I am so very bummed that I'll be missing out on this!

I do however expect to see lots of great pics of everyone falling down =P

I suppose it depends on your definition of several. In the general, more-than-one sense, <checks driver's license> yep .

Only 8 days to go.
Based on the limited feedback so far it looks like we are going to White Tail.

So that's about a 90 minute trip, and they open at 8:30, so we could leave as early as 7... That might be a little early though, I'd like to hear from those who are planning to attend.

At the moment the list in the 1st post is,
Definites:
Havana Brown
Havana Brown, Jr.
Mnoelh
Jonathan_S
Azitnay
Tivo Man

Maybes:
IJLT
JediCowboyD's A$$
Splendid
Raj

Edit: Azitnay moved to definite list. Following is now somewhat out of date.

So the definite list is 4 people and a plush doll . With that few its probably worth meeting up and driving out to the mountain in one vehicle.
Obviously if some of the Maybes decided to come additional vehicles might be required.

Thursday night? Dinner? If it's out near our neck of the woods, let me know.

Holy cat, 7 a.m.? Monica will still be hungover from the nite before. Uh, I mean she'll be tired from travelling. I was thinking more like when the sun is out and shining! Oh yeah, plus we have to stop on the way up there at the ski rental place to pick up ski's for Monica and the kid.

So, White Tail it is.

Dinner? We're coming back from Pennsylvania, so which state and county are we talking about?

Thanks. That'll be my first opportunity to meet a lot of you, so I wouldn't want to miss out.

Well I was pretty sure 7am was too early. I could do it if it was the popular consensus, but I'd rather head out later.

You are planning to rent from someplace along the way, rather than at the White Tail?
Because I also need to rent ski's and ski boots. I was just assuming I'd get them at White Tail, but if you have a better place that would be great.

Yeah, I figured it would be really crowded to wait to rent at white tail. You're welcome to Jonathan, but I always get them from Ski-skate.com in Leesburg, which is on the way.

not sure, depends on when y'all get off of the trail.

I know a few interesting places in Frederick and gaithersburg depending on where y'all feel like eating.

Great. Good to have you along.

Well I'm not sure what vehicles are avalible to get up there. Previously I'd offered to drive, however while 4 people + skis could fit in my car, but 5 + skis isn't going to work. (Heck, getting 5 people in at all would be tight, the three in the back seat would have to be fairly small or really like each other. But since the skis go right through the middle reat seat...)

So it looks like either someone else with a bigger car / van / suv needs to drive or we'll need to take two vehicles.

Edited to be more friendly

Thanks for the edit... The email notification version made you sound much too aloof .

I can always drive myself if necessary... Besides, sounds like all you crazy Virginians might be taking the 267 / 15 route through Leesburg in lieu of 270, anyway.

I'd be happy to go with you guys if anyone's got a bigger vehicle, though. Sadly, our biggest car holds only four (three with skis, really).

Yep, that's the way. And those bastages at the Greenway are raising their prices to $2.75 on 1/1/06.

I have an SUV, but will be taking Monica, the kid, and possible the kid's friend, plus skis. I think everyone would be more comfortable if we drove separately. Unless Azitnay wants to go with Jonathan. Plus, I think whoknows55 is working on a tentative dinner schedule.
