Tv Input Button Not Working

Hello I have a Apex Tv at2704s. The volume control and all that works. However I have tried the codes for the tv input and none of them seem to do anything. Is there another code that might work? Thanks for any help

p.s. I am using just the coaxil cable do you need to have the analog cables pluged in for the input to work?

See if your remote has code 0306? Many do not, but the ones that do, control the input command for Toshiba, Apex, and Changhong Tv's.

My input button only semi-works. Apparently, pressing the input button makes the peanut send both a TV code and a TiVo code so the TiVo can log the keypress. The multiple codes screw up the timing when you are trying to step quickly through the input menu.

My input button only semi-works on my Mits in that it does step the input, but there's no way to confirm the new input which is done for the Mits TV by pressing the "enter" button on it's controller. (the "enter" on the TiVo controller doesn't send the same code) Does anybody know of a way to do this with the TiVo controller? Very frustrating to have to always pick up the Mits controller to change TiVo input.

By the way, the Moto 6412 input doesn't work properly either.

Did the light blink 3 times after you entered the code? If it didn't, then code 0306 isn't in your remote. Of my 6 peanut remotes its only in 2 of them. No other code will give you the input command for toshba and Apex Tv's that uase the toshiba codeset.

The TiVo remote, because of its shape, is commonly called a 'peanut'.

The coax / RCA cables have nothing to do with the tv input button working.

I have an Apex AT1314DV and have the same problem. The volume and power codes work, but NONE of the codes in the remote will operate the tv input button. I even tried the manual code and arrowed through all the codes in the remote.

yes, you have a tivo remote, which doesn't have the code you need. You can live without, fine thread closed.
