Okay, contract is signed and returned to FMOC. Coupla niggly details:
-Price increased to $21.95 per person.
-Names of all attendees must be provided to the caterer 72 hours prior to the event. I checked this out, and it's so the caterer can provide these names to the guard gate. I'm not exactly sure what they're going to do with that, but, well, I ain't all that worried about it.

So. I will need the legal name of everyone who wishes to attend brunch by Friday, 12 August 2005 in the am. I will keep this info confidential (you have to trust me--I'm letting you into my HOUSE, ferchrissake!). If you're a suprise attendee, I will also keep such info confidential. If you have indicated you intend to go to brunch and have provided your name to MattDing for his spreadsheet, I will get the info from him (ie, assume I have your name unless you get a PM from me). Otherwise, please PM me your name. Thanks!!

I'm surprised they didn't ask you for SSN's also. Whenever we play softball at a military base or we bring guest into work we have to provide it.

Thanks for arranging this. PM sent.

One other thing for those of you going - you will be on a military base. Make sure as you drive up to the gate, you have your seatbelt on. Make sure as you drive on the base, you have your seatbelt on. They are quite serious about that, and if you don't have a seatbelt on, the MPs WILL pull you over and WILL ticket you, at the very least. But you will not get past the guards without one.

Common sense or not, I've never been on a military base. So does that go for car passengers as well? (ie: those in the back seat?)

I'm not sure I've been on a base either. Maybe.

It's not a big deal though. Use common sense. Don't be a jackass. That's it.

I used to park in the Ronald Reagan building in DC, and every time they'd open the trunk, look under it with a mirror, rub some pad on the side of the car to check for chemicals. It wasn't really a big deal.

I'm sure glad you said constrained instead of restrained.

I think I'll have a difficult time exercising restraint in that situation.

Thanks for that advise, but I still wouldn't have known to wear a seat belt in the back seat, in order to not get ticketed and be able to enter the base.

So I appreciate Jobeth66 giving us the heads up.

Indy, Skittles, MattDing -- you've been warned. Seatbelts on when we get there. If I get a ticket, YOU'RE paying.

But don't worry. All restraints are off BEFORE we get there -- and AFTER we leave.

I'm bringing my own restraints. Don't worry, Matt, they're fur-lined.

I'm not sure if I can make this, but assuming I can, is it now too late to join in? I'm checking with Shakhari to see what his schedule is, but assuming we are free, I'd like to come (though I'll have to find something other than jeans to wear!). My flight doesn't leave until nearly 8 pm Sunday, so I have plenty of time, it's just coordination getting me (as in lack thereof, all on my part, of course).

It's not too late to add people--since we have an entire room to ourselves, all should work fine.

Someone poke me when I get home to update my spreadsheets. The most recent version is at home on the laptop, and I can't email from home at the moment. Durn Comcast.

Ahem. It has *just* occurred to me that if you peeps wanted, you could also paypal me the brunch funds. I fronted the deposit on my credit card, so I can either make off like a bandit with cash at the brunch, or you can pay now and have it all taken care of.

I will note it in The Spreadsheet.
