For the right incentive, I could be convinced to do an FLL to hotel run. It you look straight wsest from FLL, you will see Cooper City. That is where I am.

Well, it looks like the Fairfield is all booked now. Anyone staying at another hotel? What else is close by?

Similar boat here. I was thinking of staying with my folks in Hollywood, and so I left the hotel booking to the last minute.

Have no fear, there are lots of other hotels. Here are the closest ones I know of:

2 blocks away:
Best Western (305-532-3311)
or
4 Points by Sheraton (305-531-7494)

Similar accommodations, pricing, etc.

As I stated before, my place is small, but I do have a couch (for me to sleep on since I don't think both of you would fit ).

Any my place is relatively large, and I have lots of space, since the wife and kids will be gone for the weekend. So far I have 3 people staying, but I can fit plenty more. And even provide beds for most.

Thanks for all the offers but this is a very rare weekend away from the kids (if you know what I mean ) so we are going the hotel route. There are quite a few hotels near the Fairfield as Fofer pointed out. We would like to stay in a place that some of the other meeters are staying at if possible.

Sol-Miami Beach (possibly Courtyard by Marriot) 3925 Collins Ave
Colpey Plaza Hotel 3900 Collins Ave
Alamo Hotel 4121 Indian Creek Dr
Fountainebleau Hilton Resort 4441 Collins Ave.

They are all about the same price and within 0.5 miles of the Fairfield.

Any ideas..........

Roy

The Fountainbebleau Hilton is a famous old, fancy resort.

If you can get a reasonable price on that, I'd say go for it.

Yep. That would be my vote too. It's kind of a Miami Beach Icon. It is, if I recall right, completely decorated in Art Deco style.

Part of Scarface was filmed there. Great resort though.
