Same here But Perhaps we have more than others do.

According to the discussions at the Monk forum on tv.com, Monk will be new on Dec. 2nd, then have reruns for a while. The new season (7 episodes) will begin on January 13th.

I have 75 season passes. It's speed is fine for me. The thumbs appear to have a lot more to do with speed, so you should clear those.

Lightbulb unnecessary clippage

I appreciate the heads up on these shows...my wife loves Monk and we both love DZ. Here's the problem I've got and I wonder if anyone can shed some light on the behavior of the new Clip function.
My SP correctly picked the new (first airing) DZ ep to record. However, due to a conflict, it was going to be clipped by a few minutes; but the same ep replays 3 hours later without conflict. I would (duh) rather have the non-conflicted, non-clipped airing.
My concern is that as the shennanigans with start and stop times continue, these issues will crop up more in prime time.
It seems to me that when a clip is planned, we should get some sort of warning. Or better, TiVo should go a step further and check the guide data for an additional airing that would not conflict.
Think WB's EasyView programming on Sunday, TNT repeats, SciFi, USA, repurposing, etc.
Is this too much to ask, or should this feature be in the mix?

Who was the Michael at the end of the Dead Zone that they dedicated it to?

I thought the DZ was worse than the Monk

That would be Michael Piller, co-creator of the show. He passed away on November 1, 2005.

Kind of a silly episode, although it's nice to see Johnny and Alex (played by the lovely Jennifer Finnigan) get a few smoochies in there. Alas, doesn't look like she'll get too much screen time since she's busy starring in Close to Home. Bring back Dana Bright!

yes, many have noted this clipped vs a later show with no clipping. Hopefully they are working on a way to add this in as it would be great but the overhead on the priority and scheduling is most likely very great

I have not had any clipped shows yet since I had multiple TiVos but I think there is a visible cue for clipped shows
