I have just successfully upgraded my Tivo to a 120Gb disk. Everything works ok with the drive when it is back in the Tivo.
I am now trying to setup PPP serial link and am having problems mounting partitions. It is the "you must specify the filesystem type " message that is giving me grief!
After reading through loads of posts, I know my drive isn't locked and I know the jumpers on my drives are correct (Tivo disk set as secondary master - Windows 98 disk as Primary master - cd as secondary slave).
I have tried the byteswapping option - fails completely.
After running the "mfstool info /dev/hdc" command, I get the following info returned:
This leads me to believe that my partitions aren't the usual 4 and/or 7 talked about in most of the upgrade guides. Am I correct in this assumption?
Based on this information what is the equivalent partition to 4/7? Is it 10?
My original Tivo came from HealeyDave. Does anyone know if he sets up Tivo's differently (I do know he has used LBA48 based on his hack of the startup screen of Tivo). Maybe you are reading this Dave and can answer?
I do hope someone can stop me "Bashing" my head instead of my Tivo!!
