I want to upgrade to a bigger HD drive

Hi

I want to upgrade to a bigger hard disc drive but I have the following questions and would appreciate if someone can answer

1: What size drive should I get
2: Will a large drive slow things down on the 'now playing menu' as there will be lots of items
3: Is there any other downsize on getting a larger Disc drive
4: Where would I go to get a good upgrade solution. I would prefer a simple just unsrew and replace...

Many thanks

Hi.

1: Silly answer, but the answer is "as big as you can afford". 1 or 2 x120GB is a good size, although if you're prepared for extra hacking you can go much, much bigger
2: Yes, now playing does slow down somewhat, especially when full. You could buy a cachecard which will speed things up again. I have 2x120GB, and it's still ok.
3: Yes, far too many things to watch!!
4: Pacelink sell preconfigured drives - 120GB for less than 90 notes, or 240 GB for £190.

Mark, you can also buy upgrade drives on eBay, preconfigured with cachecard drivers - or bundled with a cachecard if you like

I could recommend a seller.....

Or you could just d.i.y if you feel confident enough.
