New Account Status :-)

Hehehe, thought this one was quite amusing.

Got a Tivo on soak test today ready for a new customer, upon completing the Modem Test, got the following Account Status:

"2: Not Set Up, 398 days left"

Do ya think Tivo is being generous with its Trial Period for this box?

Perhaps I should sell it with 13 Months Trial Subscription :-)

Not that I don't expect the next call to iron out the creases, heheh.

Reminds me of the time I was working as a programmer for a well known insurance company.

The software (not mine, I hasten to add) had a bug whereby if you called and got a quote but didn't proceed immediately, and then called back the same day, it gave you a 99 year + 364 day 'loyalty bonus'

This resulted in a few happy punters insuring very expensive cars for a tenner or so until somebody realised that the quotes were just a bit on the low side....

OK I realise that you did and have replied. That site is doing my head in with all the sining on that is required at the moment.

Anyways... did you let that machine do a call in, and if so, did the situation change?

I'd like one like that
