"Entourage" 9-12-04 (SPOILERS probably...)

My Tivo cut off the end of the episode yesterday. Did anyone see what happened when Vincent got off the plane and talked to E?

All in all, I think this series got better with each episode... Now that the season's ending, I'm hooked.

Good thing I watched it live, my Tivo did the same thing!

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Vince gave the job to E, but not before E put him in touch with Scarlett Johansson. E then joined them on the plane, abandoning his car.

Good episode, I thought.

Here is a very rough outline of what happened. You're probably much better off catching one of the reruns this week.

Vince walks to Eric and asks if he really wants to do this. He tells him something like a friend being invaluable but a manager is someone that can be fired. Eric tells him he wants to do it. He gets 10% plus health benefits. They agree.

Then...

Eric's cell phone rings, he answers it, then gives the phone to Vince. The scene cuts to Scarlett Johansson in New York. She talks to Vince and they agree to meet in New York for breakfast.

Vince gives Eric his phone back and tells him to get on the plane. Eric walks towards the plane and asks what to do about his car. Vince tells him to leave it. He can't have his manager being seen driving a POS like that.

They hop on the plane together. End of episode.

Is that it for the season? I don't show a new episode next week, only that new bailbondsman show in that time slot.

I call shenanigans! From the IMDB entry on Scarlett Johansson:

Has claimed that she could never date anyone younger than 30 years old.

And yes, this was the season finale. The show was already renewed by HBO for another season after the second or third episode.

I'm not sure if I loved or hated the Johnny Drama audition scene. It was extremely painful to watch...but then again, I suppose it was meant to be.

Still, it's gotta take guts for an actor to throw himself so fully into truly bad acting that will be seen by lots and lots of people...

That's why I loved it. Plus with the added irony of Kevin Dillon actually being the brother (though younger) of the more famous Matt Dillon.

Thanks for the responses, everyone. I'm already looking forward to next season... which, if the other HBO shows are any indication, should happen after a hiatus of, oh, a couple years...

That's the season. Sure seemed short. Thanks ClutchBrake for the recap on the last few minutes too. My non TiVo pvr cut off just as I heard Vince offer 5%. I guess it ran a little long or started late.

I liked the line near the end when E says that only Vince would spend $30,000 on a private plane to go shoot a movie to earn $60,000. Vince calmly replies "It's worth it. How else could we take the dog and the sherpa weed?"

I sure will miss this show. A great summer treat. How many years will I have to wait for the next season?

I think that's the weed he got from his granola girlfriend's guru (when apparently the rest of LA was dry.)

Whoops. I stand corrected. That would explain why I couldn't find the official site to link to.

Then he should have called it Willow weed.
