ok, I guess I am a noob when it comes to this stuff. It has been years since I worked with Unix, Linux or any command line type program. Though I can be taught.
I am sick of the time it takes to transfer video from my Computer to my Tivo over a wireless connection and I want to speed the process up. I was thinking of just making the hard drive removable, then I could just shut off Tivo and slip the drive in my machine which has the videos, should transfer faster that way? I would think, just not really sure if this is something I can do or if I should do this.
Anyone got any suggestions on this, maybe a workflow (or link) to some info on doing this?
I am open to other methods of getting video to my Tivo if anyone knows some. thanks
I will look for that. just as an FYI, I have the Windows home media option and want to use these files also on the TIVO, I was unaware there was any copy write issues in doing this. It is in my network on my computer and Tivo. I thought that was the reason they came up with the ability to view Video on version 7.2
I was and am just looking for a better way to get these files over to Tivo. I mean a 9gig movie takes a lot of time to transfer.
