Amazing Stories marathon on Sci Fi

I want to record the amazing stories marathon on SciFi, but I don't want that annoying "changing the channel to the channel I'm already on" crap. Anyway around this?

I'm sure this has been asked before, sorry. I'm new here.

What about setting up a manual recording, with a start time that begins at the beginning of the first show, and an end time set equal to the conclusion of the last show? In other words, if the marathon is on from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, set up a manual recording that begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 4:00 PM on the relevant channel. That way, you get one large recording with no channel changes. Of course, the downside is that you then have one large recording and no way to delete each episode after you've seen it...
