Disney Christmas Parade... ?

Anybody know what happened to the broadcast of it?

My 'Disney World' wish list had it coming down at 10 EST, but when I checked, it was no where to be seen on ABC's program listings for today. I can find all sorts of places stating it was going to be broadcast Christmas Day, but no precise times.

I can't say but our Tivo had it scheduled to record it and it never started. When we go to the to do list it shows continue recording but it never started. I thought our Tivo was bad but now I'm thinking maybe there is a programming problem.

Mine actually started, but other programming was on. Neither ABC affiliate on our cable system has it.

We had the Disney commercial on, oops I mean parade, here. Anyone else notice very little holiday programming this year?

Do you mean overall? I didn't notice, until you mentioned it, but it surely seems to be the case now that I think of it.

Yeah sorry meant overall. Even looking at New Years Eve there really aren't any New Years specials this year.

I haven't watched much of it yet (just a couple of minutes to verify it recorded), but I didn't have a problem recording it. East coast here.

Everything is becoming so politically correct now days. When I was in the store the clerk would say happy holiday. I would respond "HOLIDAY WHAT HOLIDAY?" They would then reply "It's Christmas". I simply closed saying "Oh, in that case MERRY CHRISTMAS." Of course they would look at me funny but it at least got the point across.

I don't care to get in a debate over this; however, Christmas has been a tradition for years. If you want to celebrate other religions during this time go right ahead. Simply ADD CONTENT don't take it away from others simply because a small majority doesn't like it.

Then why did you post such an inflammatory and insensitive message?

I Tivo'd the prade and the first 40 minutes was the basketball game, they condensed the prade into the remaining time of the recording.
I agree that it was just a overly obvious and blatent infomercial for Disney. They could have been a little more discrete about it.
I have noticed that ABC/Disney has become a self promoting propaganda machine (not that the other networks haven't). On the View (according to my wife) they spend over half the time talking about and promoting ABC shows like "those crazy Desparate Houswives" and Lost. The Regis and Kelly show is primarily used for Disney Propoganda. I remember when I lived in LA the local ABC affiliate would often start their newscast with "Breaking News" and it would most often be about some new ride that opened at Disneyland or how Disney's California Adventure broke an attendance record. I mean cmon, I know that "synergy" is good, but there is a line.

Evidently, based on how successful this formula has been, they haven't reached that line yet.

Wow! Another victory in the war against Christmas! I would have popped her one for wishing me happy holidays.

By the way, I did catch part of the parade. Thanks Disney for helping spread the True Meaning of Chri$tma$!

My ABC affiliate didn't bother to show the parade at all. When you live in the 'Bible belt' they never do. Instead you get to watch church. I have yet to see the Disney parade in the 10 years I have lived out here.
