"The Bill" - Wed 15/09/04

Ain't technology wonderful?! WHEN IT BLOODY WORKS RIGHT!!!! Grrrrr. Damned Tivo!! Actualy, I blame ITV for their last-minute schedule change.

"The Bill" started half an hour earlier than the EPG stated so I set it recording (yay for the buffer!). I also added half an hour as the programme that was supposed to be on was only 30 mins long; 30+30=60, right? Not according to my Tivo. At 9:10pm it was still recording :-(

Further to this, since.. for a while, my Tivo stopped responding to ANY remote activity. I tried both my spare remote *and* OFA. Nothing! Changed the batteries. Not a peep; or a "ding" for that matter :-)

So I thought "Okay...try a re-boot". Then I thought... "but it's still recording...well, it's not supposed to be so that's *another* problem that a
re-boot will sort out." It did. It also completely fecked-up the system so that I can't even watch "The Bill". 'Recoding History' says it wasn't recorded 'cos the power was removed.

Well, I know it was recarding until way AFTER the programme had finished but, as you know, Tivo *always* has the last say :-(

So.. if anyone still has it could lend me a DVD copy, it would be really appreciated.

Thanks.

I realised the schedule change and got the whole episode. I'll post what happened in the first 30 mins in this thread once I watch (probably tonight).

Strange. When I rebooted in the middle of a programme, it automatically restarted recording, but stored it as two separate items.

Events in the major plot lines are described here: http://www.thebill.com/episodes/episode_244.html

Although short it looks like it covers the important stuff.
