"New Little Britain" ?

I was just setting up my Season Pass for the new little britain episodes that start next week and I noticed that the show title is now "New Little Britain".

Was this something that the Beeb decided to call the episodes, or is this an attempt by Tivo/Tribune to solve the issues we had during the last series where we were recording half a dozen episodes per week? It would be good to know if this is the beginning of a first-run-only mechanism courtesy of the show title.

I noticed that the same thing was done with Top of the Pops on BBC1 a few months back. I setup a SP to "All New Top of the Pops" only to find that a few weeks later the "All New" was dropped from the title.

By the way, the first new episode of little britain is on Tuesday, and a few days later there's a repeat of it also called "New Little Britain" so I'm not sure what a proper SP would make of it (I never bothered trying).

I decided to setup a manual repeating recording at 9:30-10:00 each Tuesday night on BBC3. As long as the timing doesn't change I expect to get only the new episodes and only one per week

This has been reported in the Listing Errors thread as well

So hopefully Tribune will sort it

They've just got the name wrong.

The BBC are listing it as 'New Little Britain' on Thursdays (from next week). This Tuesday is 'Ther Real Little Britain'.

Tribune's titles are correct in both cases - as they match the BBC's titles.

It sure looks like I made the right choice making a repeating manual recording then. Please Beeb don't change the time or I'll be well scuppered.

I just setup a wishlist a long time for "Little Britain" - it picks up the two new titles automatically - and the older repeats - and on any channel.

This approach also has the advantage of picking up the repeats of the radio series that BBC7 put on

At least TiVo will record 'Little Britain' with a wishlist.

Sky+ has turned Little Britain - into Little Angels.

This thread reminded me to add an SP for this series BUT I can't find it anywhere, under Little Britain or New Little Britain.

Then I noticed.

BAH - it's on BBC3 which I don't have :-(

It's coming to BBC1 in December but apparently they are going to make some cuts because some bits "are deemed unsuitable for a mainstream audience"
