PC Components

Can someone recommend any good online places for purchasing pc components. I have been trying to find a replacement fan for my old toshiba laptop.

So far from all the stores I have been able to find (ebuyer, dabs.com, microwarehouse and other popular places) I have not been able to find the part i need. (GDM610000065) It seems buying a replacement fan is going to be difficult!!

Thanks

Unfortunately they're currently out of stock, but PCHub.com might be able to help.

Although I couldn't find the part in their search, ServiceSource are worth a browse.

I do not know if they ship to the UK, but that part is in stock here >

I take it your Toshiba is a 9100. More expensive than just a cooling fan, but to widen your search in the UK, you could try looking for the whole cooling module. A refurbished one seems to be available in the UK here >

However, the Toshiba part number given on the above UK site for a 9100 compatible cooling module is differant from the one given on the following US site, so shop carefully >

Thanks, I will take a look at all these places. However if I get anything from the us, surely there will be a voltage issue?

All computer components should be operating on low-voltage DC, not on the AC input to the power supply. i.e. There will be no difference in internal voltages.

Thanks again. I think I may go for the cooling unit from microbite, as will be cheaper in postage than anything from the US

It's only taken me about 7 months to work out what was wrong with my old laptop (it is a T9100). Now i can fix it and sell it to my brother.

Unlike microbite, this UK site does not give an indication if their P000343720 cooling unit is actually in stock, but I would try contacting them for a competitive quote >

I've got an old Toshiba laptop which I think is still lying around the house, (An old Portege). If it's any good to you you can have it for a smile and a good deed passed on...

But a bit expensive.
I'm looking for a Toshiba R100 keyboard, which is less than half laptopbits' price if I get it from the USA.

If anybody needs any old PC parts I think I have about 5000 lying around in Baker Street
