New Alias day & time

12/7/2005 (Wed 10 PM). This a real downer, as I'm a big Law & Order fan. I'm not sure what ABC is up to here. Scheduling Alias against a perennial front-runner like L&O looks like a surefire way to kill it.

Even though my 3-tivo setup will handle the change, I don't feel like I'd be upset if it did not. Alias, once high on my list of shows to watch, has almost become an MST3K-ish view.

Actually, it's a lot better off against L&O (which is not a top 20 show) than against Survivor (which is top 10)...

Sounds to me like they're trying to give it a better chance.

I won't miss it. Just isn't the same without Sid busting the bad guys.

Indeed, at least this change means I can now Tivo Everybody Hates Chris instead.

Alias will only be in the wednesday slot for a couple episodes, then is going on a hiatus because of garner's maternity leave. It'll be back in the spring.

...and those couple of episodes will air in December, when most network shows are in reruns anyway. So I doubt we're actually missing any Invasions.

You do mean CSI: NY, don't you?

CSI: NY has consistently outperformed L&O in the ratings...

CSI: NY also is a top 10 show. In fact, last week it was tied for number 6 while Survivor was tied for number 10...

This will most likely be the last season for Alias anyway. The ratings are terrible this year. Last year they had the benefit of following LOST all season. I have to recheck my season passes since I record CSI:NY and L&O also.

When did they move it after LOST? It premiered on Sunday nights. BTW, I quit watching last season- it just wasn't the same.

So people will need DVR's or God forbid set that blinking clock and use a VCR. Ratings don't recognize recorded shows if they did I think the networks would be in for a major shock.

Yeah, I think they've already announced the end of "Alias."
