2 Season Passes for Same Show w/Different Preferences

If the same show is on 2 different channels, I will often set up 2 season passes: One for first-run shows and one for repeats.

The first-run season pass I prioritize higher than some other shows which are less important to me.

The rerun season pass I prioritize much lower.

For example, I have missed some old shows of Smallville, so want to catch all reruns--only a few of which I plan to actually watch. I also want to catch all new episodes. The new episodes are more important to me than the new episodes of Bones, but I don't want the repeat episodes of Smallville to eclipse the new episodes of Bones.

But you can only do this if a show is shown on 2 of the channels you receive.

It would be nice if we could have 2 season passes for a show even if it's only received on one channel.

I use a wish list for that purpose. I've got a Season Pass for Law & Order set to record new episodes only way up in my priority list but a Wish List for "Law * Order" set to record all episodes pretty far down in the order.

Good idea, I'll do it that way.

Why the "*", by the way? Is this a boolean operator?

It's there since you can't enter an ampersand (&)

You actually don't need the *.

A wishlist for
"Law__Order" will work. (Two spaces between Law and Order. I used underscores because html eats extra spaces.)

The TiVo ignores the &, but pays attention to the space on either side of it.

And of course if you weren't putting the wishlist inside quotes you could do it with only one space (but you'd matched a bunch more extraneous shows).
