And are these going to be refurbs or new units?
When he said new units, I don't believe he meant just for the box itself, but rather if it's a new TSN for you.

i.e., If it's your first TiVo ever, or if you're adding another TiVo to your account (however acquired), after completing the guided setup it will automatically update to the latest version available.

Sweet. It took only three days fumbling around with the Adelphia DVR to realize how much I missed my TiVo. Had various DirecTivos from Sep 2001 until we were burned out of our house a couple weeks ago (everyone is fine, and insurance came through with a big check *that* night ). Switched to cable since DirecTV is not an option right now. I can live with that. But I must have my TiVo. A real TiVo.

Went to www.tivo.com/priority and got 7.2.1 within hours.

Knowledge is a powerful thing!

I signed up last Friday, and still haven't received it! It's been over 3 business days. Should I enter again, in case I entered incorrectly?

I wish I had checked this thread again.

I have just been waiting patiently since the end of October, since I read that there would be no priority list, and I hadn't gotten the update yet, so I check back now and there is a priority list!

That's what I get for being patient. :-) And also what I get for not keeping up with the threads. Ahh well.

Your chance to get in before the masses is now over. I have posted a thread announcing the priority list. The cat is now officially out of the bag.

Your post was what prompted me to finally post the "official" announcement. It's all your fault

Yes please. And if you still don't get it, drop me an e-mail with your TSN.

I didn't see this question, and really did read the posts though my eyes are now crossed :P

Why is the TSN # starting with #301- not being updated to v7.2.x ?

(This current TiVo is a Phillips Series2 DSR704 R/17)

TSN 301 is a DIRECTV DVR with TiVo. The only TSNs that will receive 7.2.1 are 110, 130, 140, 230, 240, 264, 275, 540, 565, 590, and 595, all of which are the standalone variety.

7.2.1 Audio Enhancement?

This may seem like a crazy question, but after recently receiving the update, I've noticed the audio quality out of my 6.1 surround system is significantly improved. It was fine before, but now it just sounds even better.

Did the update do anything to enhance the TiVo's audio output?

Like I said, it's a crazy question.

Thanks!
