HGTV running 2 minutes late

Now they're doing it... the programs that start after midnight have been starting about 2 minutes late.

All of my HGTV SPs are very low priority becuase the programs repeat so often. I'm now losing 2 minutes of these shows.

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Angry

Thank you! I thought I was losing my mind. I only just caught on to this when I was catching up on some recordings yesterday. And until I read your post, I wasn't entirely sure I hadn't just twiddled some bit incorrectly. What a major pain the TiVo!

I just went to their website and complained. Basically, I said if they are going to run 2 minutes longer the guide data should reflect it so our recordings don't get cut off.

Sometimes they start two minutes early!

You can complain at this link.

I sent a message to them too. I've noticed this while TiVoing "What You Get for the Money".

I received a reply from them. They said that I needed to use Tivo's new conflict resolution feature

I was very clear saying that the guide data was wrong. I just love it when they answer a different question because they HAVE no answer for the true question.

I sent back a note saying that conflict resolution would not help - they needed to provide accurate guide data and then conflict resolution would come into play.

That's pretty hilarious since I got a reply a couple of weeks ago that said the problem was temporary and it would be fixed soon. No mention of what soon means.

Send an email using the link posted above.

With 2-3 minutes cut off the ending of their shows it is worthless to watch them at all. I'm digging in & refusing to pad on principle.

BTW - in your note you may want to mention that Tivo's new overlap protection doesn't apply here. Their guide data is wrong and Tivo won't be able to help with incorrect guide data.

TLC is one of the Discovery networks, not affiliated with HGTV.

I just sent a note too. I was catching up and I was shocked that I missed so much of the shows.

You'd think that they know we all can't afford to sit around and watch HGTV all day and nite. Since it is Home and Garden some of us would like to be out in the Garden or working on the Home. So, we need to record shows to have a life.

The scumbags.

I haven't had a problem with this lately. Did HGTV heed our complaints?

Looks like the Home portion of HGTV needs a new clock.

I padded all my hgtv SPs for 2 minutes and moved them to the bottom of my sp manager since many of them repeat numerous times.

I checked the last couple of shows which started after midnight and they start & finish on time. Maybe they stopped doing it when enough people complained.
