Quiet drive recommendations

The drive in my Series 1 Sony died and I've decided to get a bare drive and install the OS myself. This unit is in the bedroom, so I want a particularly quiet drive.

I see the DiamondMax name thrown around a lot. Is that the drive to have right now? I see them on Newegg for about $56. What other drive should I be considering?

I was satisfied with the 30 hours I used to have so I'm probably going to go ahead and get the teeny (ironic grin) 80 gig. From what I've heard, the smaller drives tend to run noticably quieter than the larger drives? Or is the 200 gig about the same decibel level (only $30 difference?)

In reading the sticky post it appears that if I go with the large drive that the 137 GB issue is pretty much solved, and I don't really have to do anything special anymore to use the extra space? The current OS image already incorporates LBA48?
