command not found

I've just got a airnet connection working for my tivo. I've managed to install tivoweb via the method described by Steve Conrad. I can connect to this fine, and even got it to start automatically via adding it to rc.sysinit.

However, I'm struggling to install endpad and loadlogo. I'm not sure if I'm doing something stupid (quite possible), or I've not installed something previously which is needed.

  1. I've ftped endpad.tcl to the /var/hack directory
  2. Loaded up bash
  3. changed to the hack directory
  4. chmod 755 endpad.tcl
  5. run endpad.tcl with the relavant options

However, when I run endpad I get a command not found error.

Trying the obvious, I made sure the file existing in that directory, run it from the root directory using var/hack/endpad.tcl and /var/hack/endpad.tcl, rebooted the tivo and tried again. All came up with the same error.

Any suggestions / or pointing out any obvious things I'm doing wrong would be greatly appreciated.

command not found

I seem to recall having the same problem with a script.
I eventually found that I'd caused it by FTPing the script across using ASCII mode and this resulted in ^M being put at the end of every line.
Try looking at endpad.tcl and see if this is the case.

Regards, Len

Did you FTP the file in binary mode?

For gold text on leather in TiVoWeb, try the redbook, bluebook, greenbook and blackbook themes, now updated with button menus

You guys were spot on. They weren't copied over in binary mode.

Thanks for the advice.
