I hate it when I lose things

One of the things I'm trying to do this year is being more organzied.

I moved into my place 1.5yrs ago and I still have stuff in boxes in my closet and not everything has a home yet.

It's getting ot the point where I'm becoming super agitated as I know I have osmething I just don't remeber where it ended up.

ARRRG!

I don't think things are lost so much as misplaced in your post. Also I found an extra "o" in there as well.

Just as I suspected, you found it in the last place you looked!

My standard spell of finding is to look for something else. Because whenever you are looking for something, you never find it, you only find other things that you used to be looking for, but gave up on.

I have a connection with hounds too... The Hound of the Baskervilles, Baskerville being my middle name. I always joke that dogs and I don't seem to see eye to eye.

I've been googling for a bit here, and I can't seem to find where I get "loose the hounds" from. The closest I can see is Shakespeare's "Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war;," but I wonder if there is something more culturely fresh where I get the phrase "loose the hounds?"

Maybe people have just bastardized the Shakespeare long enough that "loose the hounds" is the result?

ANTONY

O, pardon me, thou bleeding piece of earth,
That I am meek and gentle with these butchers!
Thou art the ruins of the noblest man
That ever lived in the tide of times.
Woe to the hand that shed this costly blood!
Over thy wounds now do I prophesy,-
Which, like dumb mouths, do ope their ruby lips,
To beg the voice and utterance of my tongue-
A curse shall light upon the limbs of men;
Domestic fury and fierce civil strife
Shall cumber all the parts of Italy ;
Blood and destruction shall be so in use
And dreadful objects so familiar
That mothers shall but smile when they behold
Their infants quarter'd with the hands of war;
All pity choked with custom of fell deeds:
And Caesar's spirit, ranging for revenge,
With Ate by his side come hot from hell,
Shall in these confines with a monarch's voice
Cry 'Havoc,' and let slip the dogs of war;
That this foul deed shall smell above the earth
With carrion men, groaning for burial.

Today we get Things 2 and 3 back from their Dad's and will be doing Christmas. The sad part is that my wife "lost" Thing 2's gift of a 4GB Nano... I am sure that it is someplace in the house, but not sure when it will surface. We've been hunting for over a week now with no success.

We have a 4GB Mini as a stand-in, but it sure sucks compared to a Nano.

I woke up yesterday and had lost my cellphone. I ripped my apt apart before realizing it was out of bluetooth range which meant it wasn't in the apt at all. I was freaking out at that point but at least I could stop looking

Someone used it to sign onto AIM so I asked who that person was... it was a friend of mine. Fwew!

When I was about 8 or 9 I made a gift for my parents early in December. It was a clear ornament with a picture of my sister and I. I hid it under some drapes and got upset when I couldn't find it on Christmas Eve. I think it was found late in January during a vaccuming session.

Sweet! We found it! It turns out that my wife did not lose it, our housekeeper put it in a little portable cooler that we usually put in the Suburban. ?!? No, I have no idea what the hell she was thinking when she decided to stick it in there. Grr.
