I know it's random, but I don't have yet in Southern New Jersey.

HDVR2. I force a call and a restart once a day and still nothing.

OK, maybe more than once a day. It makes me feel better, but still nothing.

If 6.2 is on the drive, how do I know that? My version still shows 3.something.

Same here, although I'm glad to have seen it and played with it on 1 DVR, it's the one in our basement that doesn't get used much. I don't have it on our other 3 units and I really want it in the living room. That's the one that's slow due to the added hard drive.

Still waiting in Old Orchard Beach, ME.

I've forced a call a few times, still says 3.1.1e. Do I need to restart?

Also, it still says next scheduled call is Monday 23rd at 4:47. Whats special about that?

Can someone settle something once and for all? Does zip code, city, brand of Tivo, etc have anything whatsoever to do with the order in which we receive software updates? Is it random or not?

We have ours in central PA, now.

Neighbor called and said he got the update about an hour ago, so I tried again. It took only 10 minutes after the restart and everything appears to work OK.

I don't have inside connections or anything but listening to the people who have had very reliable info in the past, when DirecTV was beta testing in February, yes they only did it in one Geographic area, L.A. I think. Probably because that's where DirecTV is located. If they had bad reactions, I'm guessing they could jump in a car and swap out the unit to see 1st hand what happened. That part is a guess on my part but DirecTV is located in El Sugundo which I'm pretty sure is close to L.A.. It also doesn't hurt that a lot of their corporate employees live in the area.

The General release is being distributed totally at random by receiver ID. This has been stated by multiple people who seem to have had good info on when the distribution would start again.

One of those said DirecTV is adding 100,000 receivers to the list per day. If that number is accurate, I would think it could take 3 to 4 weeks for everyone to get it. That's based on the fact I think there are about 3 million units out there.

There may come a day when they just add all of the units remaining into the list or maybe not. I live in NW Indiana and have it on one unit and not on the others.

We know it's coming quickly now so I guess, now we can be patient. It is most definately being given out. We're a LOT better off now then we were in March when we didn't know anything much.

There are a couple of interesting menu items that I don't remember seeing before, but maybe I have just forgotten about them... I'm going to look on my other units later. There is a enhanced audio option for the analog outputs. You chose coax or L & R.

Also if everyone hasn't seen this, you can now choose 10 episodes as an option. 1 through 5, and 10 are the options.

Most of the other stuff has been talked about. The menus are rearranged a little. and making phone calls has been revamped a little. The status goes through steps more like the testing phone connection in the old software. Some print is smaller on the screens and the curious one that has been talked about a little is the new entry in system info (which has changed somewhat as well). The new entry is......

DVR Service Level. Does this mean they may sell HMO in the future?

Just forced a daily call (after 223 days without) on the Philips 704. It downloaded something big and is at the DIRECTV "updating your service -- this may take hours" screen. This has to be 6.2.

No joy on my trusty HDVR2.

Forced a daily call again here in Nashville and no love on the Sammy SIR-4120

Have I misunderstood, or is it correct that my HR10-250 will NOT get the 6.2 software?
