R10 second tuner dead after 5 days?

The hard drive died on my Phillips HDVR2 to I decided to take advantage of the rebate and get an R10. It hooked up no problem and was fine for five days. Tonight it showed no signal on tuner 2. If I switched the cables it still showed tuner 2 dead (and tuner 1 fine at 94%) so it's not a cable/mulitswitch/dish problem. I recall a similar issue a while back with HR10-250s that was a software problem that got fixed by and update. Is anyone aware of a similar issue with the R10 or did I just get a flakey unit?

I think you just got a flakey one...

Do you have the unit plugged into a UPS?

And have you rebooted it? (Just checking)

Return it. It's obviously defective. My R10 works fine.

I agree, get it replaced.

And do try to pick up a $15-$25 ups.... They act well as a surge surpressor, but what they provide is a clean consistant power supply to that Computer we call a TiVo box...

I have one on everyone of my units, and VERY glad that I do...
Treat your TiVo like it is a computer, because after all... that is what it is...
