I voted Luxor because I've just always wanted to stay there, and I don't care where it is - I'm not a Vegas person and don't plan to walk the strip anyway. But TI is my second choice. :-)

I've always wanted to stay at the Luxor, just because.
But to get to the monorail, you'd have to take the train from Luxor to Excalibur then hike across the street to the back of the MGM Grand to get to the station.

I've always wanted to stay at the Flamingo, as well.

But TI makes a lot of sense for the reasons Skittles mentioned.
(Have I mentioned that the meeting rooms at the Venetian are very nice?)

Yeah! Luxor peeps shout out! (although it's still a runaway for TI. I can live with that.)

If anyone ends up staying at the Luxor, we can all visit his/her room, so that we have an excuse to ride in the funky elevators.

I voted TI - based on location and price.

I've not been to Vegas since I was 21yo... and I really want to walk the strip to check out the new hotels and maybe revisit the old at some point.

I stayed at the Luxor in May. It is a hike from anywhere. I found the staff to be indifferent at best, and surly at worst. It was cute, and J liked the Egyptian motif, but I think I'm done with that.

Nah, you should vote anyway. You never know when someone might demand a recount -- you don't want to be a hanging chad.

Sir, I'm going to have to ask how you got Mikkel_knight's password. Because we all know the man ain't shy about voicing his opinion, no matter how futile it may seem.

I voted the Luxor, just because I think it's a really cool property.

That said, I'd be happy just about anywhere. TI looks great too and the time will be just as amazing, no matter where it's held.

I stayed at the Luxor once.

They were renting Segway's for when you got off the inclinator to ride to get to your room, that's how far some of the rooms are to walk to.

TI is the best option, i'm looking forward to staying there.

Voted TI. I really like Samba's, Caeser's, and the Imperial Palace nearby (don't ask why).

Dude, in addition to the cheescake factory I will make Samba's this year (even if I have to eat two meals in one evening. You in?

we stayed at the imperial palace back in '97 when some college buddies went to vegas for a bachelor party. one of my memories of the place is the shower heads in the rooms were really low...like a foot or so above my belly button.

wassup wit dat?

Same ships. New crew. Instead of manly men of the high seas... It's scantily clad women of the high seas...

Scantily clad women vs curiously unmanly men of the high seas.

There are 69 total votes in this poll.

Is it possible that there's already 69 people ready for the Con? Last year brought about 80 of us together.

That's probably a decent number. I forget how many people were initially interested last year and if we gained/lost interest.

It's definitely harder maintaining/getting buzz going with everything out here in the meets section, though.

Wow, gang, this is a close race.

Just a reminder that this poll will be closing in a little more than 48 hours. Please make sure you get your vote in ASAP. Once Wednesday gets started, we'll be hitting the ground running.
