Humax DRT800 Upgrade

I just upgraded my Humax DRT800, very simple using the guides, I want to thank everyone who supplies the information, great job.

I will also share some of the experience.
- Opening the cover, it does stop opening after about 1/4 inch, you have to sort of pry the cover apart near the front to get it to slide all the way back,
- Since the DVD drive takes up the 2nd bay, your only option is a larger hard disk (I bought a 300GB at Frys for $104!).
- I used the PVT tools CD as it supports over 137gb drives
- You can skip all the backup and restore steps and just jump to copying the whole hard disk to the new one, the copy took about 2 hours.

I find that replacing the entire drive is the easiest, drives are cheap now, and futzing with FAT partitions and all the primary and secondary IDE cables is a mess. I just put both drives on the primary and set one as master the other as slave.

Thanks again..
