Hey guys... I have a TCD24004A with the latest os, I believe 7.2. I already upgraded this bad boy once with 2 120gb drives and now I wanted to upgrade again. What is the largest size drives that the tivo will make full use of now?
Also, how do I go about upgrading again, since I already did it once? In addition, is there a way to do this WITHOUT losing all my programing? I would rather not have to copy all the shows over to another drive and then back again if I didn't have to.
The sky is theoretically the limit.
You are limited to 120GB for your A drive, as your partition table is full. To make full yse if a drive larger than 120GB, you need to lose the added partition and therefore all of your recordings.
