Unless, of course, the bar is called "The Office".

Wife: "Why aren't you home yet? Where are you calling from?"
Hubby: "Don't worry, hon ... I'm still at The Office!"

Actually there is a chain of bar-restaurants called "The Office:"

Charlie Brown's, based in Mountainside, New Jersey, owns and operates 24 Charlie Brown's Steakhouses and six restaurants called The Office Beer Bar & Grill. Most of the restaurants are in northern New Jersey; two are in Westchester County, New York.

Good lord - #273 posts (and an unweildly 14 pages for me)! If any other new posters to this thread make it this far, 'high five.'

I blame TjMarshalABS and Inundated - those two must account for ~100 posts.

/half expecting a detailed response from Inundated that includes stats for every post here and some sort of graph!

Yeah, this is definitely a chatty group. I don't think we've ever had a show that generates this much traffic for a single episode.

Keep in mind, too, that the thread was posted well in advance of the show's airing...and most of us were posting in anticipation with rampant speculation.

That's usually reserved for the end of the previous episode's thread.

If any episode of a show was worthy of much discussion, it's this one.

I'm glad we all lucked out that Amanda came through with her revelation about Ingrid's grandfather. I'm guessing one of the actors would have spoken up otherwise, but it was just so perfect to have Amanda do it.

It was a SpikeTV chat session with the character who played Rita. She said she didn't know but had just assumed it as Rita as in Maguerita. I'd like to hear from Muggum himself on this one.

Right. Gotcha on the earlier post. I was just reponding to a poster noting that he'd heard an answer to that and I was reminding him where he heard it. I didn't think it was commemorating Margaritas. (By the way, Rita Wernick is a good sport.)

As a matter of fact

Hey, I haven't posted THAT much in here. And the thread was up about a day before the show aired. I did this for a couple of reasons... 1) It seemed like the natural "break point" from the previous week's thread, and 2) I did it to ensure the thread's title was posted correctly - perhaps I'm still too worried about someone doing "Schmoe" again! hehe

Now, I'm gonna try to go to bed...I see wendiness has already done so!

I've been in both a "Charlie Brown's" and a "The Office", actually

Charlie Brown's goes for more of the Irish setting, btw ... they choose to ignore (and/or not pay for) the Peanuts connection.

Anyone miss me?

First, I want to thank Muggum for giving my potential new sister-in-law reason to think I'm a total freak for watching porn while on vacation with my parents. (I was watching the show in the lowest level of the house we were staying in, where her bedroom was but in a different room. When coming down the stairs, I'm certain she heard the porn-like sounds of the two women. She never came in to see what was going on and I never explained it to her, though, so I'm sure she thinks I'm a perv.)

At any rate, this wasn't my favorite episode of the season, but I still enjoyed myself immensely. It was a little too over-the-top for my comfort, really. (It's been a week since I watched it so I don't remember many specifics. Plus, no one's probably going to go back to this old thread to read my ramblings anyway. )

I've only read a couple of pages so far of the thread. I'll get to it eventually, though. I am very glad to see others enjoyed the episode so much. I was afraid perhaps it went too overboard. This is truly the funniest show on TV at the moment, bar none. I'd hate for it to lose any viewers, for any reason.

muggum, please include the ladies' lie detector on the DVD. its worth it for us to see whether or not its funny and might as well be put on there instead of being forever lost somewhere. maybe you can put commentary as to why it was deleted.
