I received "c" on two of my three DirecTiVos. They do seem fast, but not sure if that is just because it was rebooted.

I got 'C' on my unit downstairs, my upstairs is also still at 'B'. The 'C' unit seems very slow - slower than before. The logos on the 'B' unit changed too. Maybe not a 'C' "fix".

"c" on one of my units last night, but it was a chore. Download stalled once, then the next time the number was busy for a long time, then on the third try it finally completed. The download was PAINFULLY slow. . .over an hour.

"Acquiring" message is gone, menus seem faster, and a couple new logos are there (the UPN looks like a third grader created it). Otherwise, not much that I noticed.

When you say that you got "C", can you also say if your S1 or S2?

I know you aren't refering to me

I agree Scott, which is why I made the distinction...

I have seen a lot of S2's positively identified...any S1s get the update yet?

Got it finally - my location is Chicago suburbs (in case any one is tracking by location). Apparently, each reciever is treated as a seperate entity in your account (or are the upgrades scheduled via reciever - not user account?) - 1 got updated, 1 didn't.

Got C on my HDVR2 last night - while I'm usually able to make the short daily call over my Vonage line without issue, it wasn't able to maintain a VoIP call for the 40-50 minutes a software download takes, so I had to do a quick PPP over serial hookup to grab the update. And the TiVo does seem a bit quicker with the new build.

I got 3.1.1c on my first HDVR2 a couple weeks ago, and finally got it on my second HDVR2 today.

In addition to the guide message disappearing so did my annoying optical dropouts. I haven't had one in two days. I wonder if this was included in the 'C' update.

Got "C" on my HDVR2 on Saturday, can't see much difference other than the next scheduled phone call is not until April 4 or 5, and the guide data error message is gone.

Got c on both of mine this weekend. The msg is gone, but I don't notice any change in speed (not that I really was bothered). I did notice that CC timing is very much improved and may be back where it belongs.

Other than the elimination of the "acquiring data" message, some new logos, and the closed-captioning fix, is there any value to this "upgrade"?

I have one Tivo that got the download, and one that has not. My "C" machine seems somewhat slower, in two respects: First, the speed of the Tivo Guide menu display; and second, the display of Now Playing. Seems like a step backward to me.

I had a 'pending restart' message when I checked the System Info screen on my DSR7000 when I got home last night. I restarted and the C upgrade installed. I no longer have the Acquiring Guide, or acquiring data, or......WOW, it's even been erased from my mind! Amazing!

The RCA DVR40 in my living room (the newer of my two units) hasn't received the new software yet.

Received "C" on my HDVR2 on Monday. Still exhibits a video "hiccup" (.3 second freeze) from time to time, only not so often with C.

"PENDING RESTART" when I fired up the TV on Tuesday afternoon. I did the restart, and got the "C" install. Looking good so far, although I didn't really have any issues but purely cosmetic on either machine. So, both are now up to date.

I just forced a call and I must be lucky because it's been downloading for about 15 minutes now, and it's NEVER taken NEAR this long, so I must be getting the update as I type. Hooray! Chance my vote in the poll.

I can't wait.

Just got C

I was checking System Info just now and it said restart pending, so I restarted rather than let it do it at 2AM in the middle of a show we were watching. We now have c. Everything seems fine so far. But luckily I only had cosmetic problems.
