BBQ Bash for Sara on Sunday, 9/5!!! (DC/MD/VA area)

When: Sunday, Sept 5 at 1:00 PM
Where: Jeremy's House in Herndon, VA (PM for directions)
Why: pnut's in town!
Who: you tell me

It would be a big help to me if you RSVP'd at least a few days before the event.

So far I know that sallypnut, Turtleboy and I will be there.

I'll be perfectly honest... I'd rather it be an adults only deal. Sorry.

Can I still come?

Please don't be sorry. That is why I was asking. Plus I have to get a babysitter.

Kim and I 90% sure we will be there.

Thanks for the invite.

Just don't go pickin' fights again!

Fortunately Herndon is free of parking meters

Yes, Labor Day weekend. Woohoo!

(J, do you think it might be good to have "DC area" or something in the title of this thread?)

Will do. More details on such things will follow. But in the meanwhile, if you have a "specialty" of yours that you'd like to propose, feel free.

I read the thread title ast "BBQ Bush" and thought this was going to be a short-lived political thread.

Sadly, I won't be anywhere near DC on 9/5.

Maybe! It's around the time my neice or nephew will be born, so I may be down in the Baltimore/DC area already. I'll let you know once the baby is born and I know more.

Count me in. I'll drive down Sunday morning and go stay with my cousin in Alexandria overnight. (I'd be up for evening plans, too.)

Slight chance I might be out of town but otherwise, I'm there in a hot second. Woohoo, finally get to meet Sara, aka my favorite cabaret singer that I've never seen, just heard.

I'll see if I can make that one. Sunday is usually family day for me, but it might just work out.

The Air and Space Museum is about 15 minutes away from my house. If y'all can arrange to do that in the AM and come for the BBQ in the PM... well that'd be a helluva day!

Can you recommend a close hotel? I'm thinking it's more and more likely I can swing it

Close to DC or the Air & Space Museum Annex (and Herndon) ?

There's pretty much one of every type of hotel in Herndon and vicinity. I'd stay away from the Airport Marriott since it's old, but other than that there's a lot to chose from... and none are really 'bad' per se.

The Marriott Residence Inn is not too far. There's a Hyatt (Dulles Corner Blvd) and a regular Marriott (Worldgate) that are ok too.
