R10: Another Intresting Screen

While in Now Playing hit SORT Code:
(S)low 0 (R)ecord (T)humbs Down

0 is the Zero button.

I was just checking to see if it still works...
I almost skipped a beat when this screen came up...

Intresting, but still doesn't change the fact we don't have HMO

The web address on the screen takes you to the Tivo Manage website.

Now is it that you "can't say" as in you know, but are not allowed to say.
Or that you "don't know", thus "can't say"

Gosh this is fun... Wish I didn't have a day job so I could keep playing...

Hmm... Just tried the SORT code on my 4.0 HDVR2... Just get the "bong".. no screen... Looks like this is something NEW and intentional........

Its I do know what is coming but I'm not able to say without burning a few people badly. You should now be able to fill in what will be coming. When is what I don't know but what is coming I do know.

Also in that screenshot D7DB actually means something. Also when it asks you if you have purchased Home Media Option that means something as well.

Why is this starting to sound like a Harry Potter book?

or the song from West Side Story:

"Something's Comming, don't know what it is, but it is... Gonna be great......"

If your talking about Book 6 release date situations like I have to hear everyday from my son than yes you can consider my post like that. But again I can't burn my contacts and in case you didn't know it people just came out and said what was coming that would be considered insider trading. I saw no harm in saying what I did because someone found this nice screenshot that answers the big question indirectly.

Also search my posts from satellite guys under the same user name and you will see I've been saying this far before this screenshot. Even search my posts here and I've said it.

I've asked and they keep saying a small extra flat fee per account not per box. I hope this ends up being true.

that sounds like you just got the standard 0 thumbs down 4/5.x stand alone HMF trouble shooting screen code. Wild.
I thought the S 0 R T code ended with a thumps up.

And, I assume, that when current Seires 2 units upgrade to 6.x software, they too will be able to play?

Super Wow!!

Earl, my man, Wow. If we weren't both married, I might propose to you right now.

LonghornXP, I've been trying to read between the lines of your posts for a couple of weeks and I had hoped this is what they meant. I appreciate your loyalty to your contacts and also your willingness to share whatever you could with us.

Ya both kick it old school
Matt

P.S. Now that I rejoiced, I can bitch. Hope we're not talking TiVoToGo time frame here. We may all be old and gray before it comes.

0 (T)humbs Down seems to be all that's required to bring up this goodie.

Two of my contacts called me this morning and told me that they got calls from DirecTV (their bosses at DirecTV) telling them they are forbidden to say anything more about anything and they being who they were asked why and their bosses actually emailed them the link to this screenshot. It seems they aren't very happy about this find and have told them all to not talk with anyone.

The point is its interesting none the less even though it means nothing as far as telling us when and I haven't been told when just a general time frame. Fact is they aren't very happy right now. Don't be suprised if you get a call telling yall to take that screenshot down but I don't think you will because its in their software and people can just say the code to others so it might not make any difference. But somebody lost a tooth over this.

Sometimes, frankly, I wonder what somepeople at DirecTV are taking.

Remember the HR10-250 debut? They were equally anal about no one knowing the first few thousand were being made in the USA. But, duh! As soon as someone actually took delivery it was going to be on a label on the back of the thing! And again a similar thing happened when some pictures were posted of the shipping process of the first batch: DirecTV got their panties in a bind.

They have never made sense have they. Those jackasses actually suggested doing a software update to block that code from working. Granted they got talked out of it but would that be the biggest waste of money you could ever find.

So they're mad because someone found this screen on a shipping system's screen? They should block it better until they're ready to release HMO to the masses.
They got to know that users and hackers will go over a new system with a fine tooth comb, to discover what's new and different!

I am sorry if I caused any of your friends issues... but is is not like I reverse engineered the GUI or anything.

I just tried to use one of the old standard "tweak" codes: S0RT (but I hit Thumbs Down instead of Up). I just wanted to see if they took the code out after they added folders.

Guess I struck a nerve... It wasn't intentional... I just hope that DirecTV now realizes how much we REALLY REALLY REALLY want this feature...

And they have records and all that other fun stuff, I didn't partipate in any Beta for this product, nor software release.... So... I didn't break any NDA.

You would think but they have their arses up too many behinds to figure this out. We all can tell them until they are blue in the face and they act like oh they wouldn't figure that out.
