I thought it was a good episode but I was really looking forward to finding out more about the light in the hatch at the end of last week's ep. They didn't even touch that tonight

Claire gave birth and the child didn't have scales or claws.

A major character died.

Is Jack just mad that Boone died or does he really think Boone was murdered?

So, what happened to Jack's wife? This was the first mention of her, right?

"Don't tell me what I can't do!" said Locke.
"Don't tell me what I can't do!" said Jack.

Significance? I don't know. What I do know is that Locke murdered Boone (placed him in situation where he would die) to get his legs back and now Jack of Island CSI is hot on his trail.

Okay, I don't know this. Locke was yelling for Boone to get out of the plane and he did carry him back to camp and he was really upset by the whole incident. But, his blind faith in the island caused Boone's death.

In an earlier episode, Locke suggested that Jack was supposed to be a leader. That was back when he was chasing his father's "ghost" around the island. It seemed to me at the time that Locke expected Jack to follow the Cylon's--I mean Island's--plan, the same way Locke was.

Is Locke lost to the dark side now? Has Jack avoided that fate by "letting go"?

I say this... as much as the semi-graphic shots of Boone's mauled body (and the sound of the leg being set) were enough to make me cringe, I give the show a lot of credit for not pulling any punches.

I'm thinking that Sara leaves Jack after realizing that he's married to his job. Either that, or she dies on his operating table.

Interesting to see that Jin is, just now, starting to pick up some English.

One thing threw me out of the moment, though. Scotty Farkus with his Yellow Eyes. I just had a hard time seeing Zack Ward as "Jack's friend" and not the bully from A Christmas Story.

Oh, man! He looked so familiar, but I couldn't place him. Nice catch!

Amazing episode, I half expected the baby to come out being green and deformed, haha. But the episode was really good, and although something on Locke would have been nice, I think thats next week.

Yah, I was waiting for something out of V... either the lizard baby or human baby with lizard tongue.

Speaking of which, did you guys see the previews for next week. I could have sworn that Locke got shot.

Looks like a gun is fired and it looks like Locke staggers backwards... they may not be related incidents, just cut together. Either way, the word on the street is only one major character dies this season so whatever happens Locke will carry on.

What did Jack and Kate say to each other after Jack informed Shannon that Boone died? The end of the show got cut off because of ABC's scheduling. I can't pad Lost because of King of Queens and West Wing.

It's been a while since I've seen the ep, but any chance that Sara is the patient on the operating table when Jack's dad messes up because he'd been drinking? I don't remember whether we knew a gender or any other details on that patient...

The actions and reactions of everyone in the operating room were not appropriate if that was his wife that just died--especially Jack's (that goes for the medical review board meeting too). So I'd say that it was definitely not his wife.

Nah, he severed that womans hepatic vessels. Totally different. And besides they showed the father breaking the bad news to the husband in that episode.

I thought it was a great episode. Looks like the island granted life with Claire's baby at the expense of life with Boone. I thought it was very tense and there were a couple scenes that made my stomach turn, I'm not really surprised about anything that happened in this episode though since it was a given Boone had to die (he couldn't possibly survive on an island in the wilderness in his condition) and we'd all been wondering when Claire would finally have the baby. I was glad to see that Claire's baby came out normal and undeformed, but it still begs the question of why did Ethan want the baby and why was she kidnapped for it. One thing that really bugged me about this episode is, where was Locke and what was going on with that hatch? I mean, Boone is sitting there dying and Locke just disappears, WTF? the ending was great, especially when I just got done saying to myself that Jack would go on a manhunt for Locke. The ending definently left us with a good cliffhanger that will be interesting to see resume soon.

Good thought, but I don't think it was. The person who died was a girl though so it's possible but I think it's doubtful. Jack's wife probably divorced him because of his addiction to the job.

When do new episodes start? my TiVo only has one upcoming episode listed and it a repeat.

I actually didn't think Boone would die. It seemed too obvious, and the show is really good at setting up an event then going the opposite direction. It's messing with my mind, man!

I loved the song it played at the end. At least, until Jack turned all hardcore revenge-like and the song went all drastic again. I was hoping that the song wasn't an original, and in some store out there it was quietly waiting on a CD for me to buy. But I think it was written for the show. Anyone know anything about it?

Given this show's love of symmetry, I wonder if Jack's wife didn't suffer a relapse of her paralysis (like Locke is going through), and Jack couldn't handle it..?

That's the second episode I can remember hearing that theme in. It must be original for the show.

Shannon to Sayid: "Are you Lost?"
They always sneak the word in somewhere.

If Locke isn't killed for what he's done I don't expect I'm gonna lose much sleep caring about where this series is headed between seasons.

And if you watched it live and saw the commercials then you saw the teaser for the upcoming Muppet Wizard of Oz.

Fozzie, "I think we're..."
Gonzo, "Don't say it!"
Kermit, "He's right...we're...LOST!"

Killed by whom? For what? Jack has jumped to the conclusion that Locke murdered Boone, but he has no good evidence for it. Once Locke explains that they were checking out a plane and it fell, Locke is off the hook. Only Locke knows about his premonition; and only Locke knows if he could have prevented Boone's death.
