Anyone interested in Hot-ami? Oct 7-Oct 9

Edit again, now we're looking at the weekend of the 8th, b/c that's when Fofer and Indy can come, and DTF has a good flight. Hopefully we can lock it in then...

5/27-- For reference, I live at
7917 SW 104 Street
Miami, FL

Here is a map that shows how far I am from South Beach.

Smeed naked. Or is that general drunken debauchery?

Well, if there's a meet, he'll be there.

The naked part is up to you.

I was thinking a weekend in September.

Any time. Plan it already.

I already have your condo-warming present picked out. Plan it already.

There's a funeral home I'd like to visit while I'm in town, but I can plan that around the debauchery.

Debauchery at a funeral home. I think I'd hate to see what's going on THERE!

My furniture doesn't arrive till next week (hopefully).

Once it does, and I'm in my own place, the planning will start.

If you can do this on a weekend, I'm in. (Can't really afford much more than airfare and 1-2 nights in a hotel.)

So Jeff, since your attendence is required, when is a good time for you?

Should I wait till after Vegas to seriously start planning?

No.

Some of us have cross-country flights to think about. The sooner you plan, the better.

General drunken babauchery is fine with me. Due to fairly new job, this would need to be over a weekend. (Not much vacation)

Well, I was thinking September, but maybe early October would be better, to give people a little more time between Vegas and the event.

Rosh HaShana begins Monday Night, October 3rd. What if I did it that weekend before, and that way you could come in, party during that weekend, and then go to your family for the holiday.

And Oct, especially early Oct is still generally warm enough to go the beach, for those who are interested.

I MAY be able to accomodate some people, but I am not sure yet. I have an elderly relative that may be moving in, and it she does, then I would lose my guest bedroom. I do have extra beds in the kids bedtroom, so even then, something could be worked out.

If people don't mind a couch (not a sofabed), and/or the floor (I'd pick up an air matress or something), I'm sure I could accomodate a few people (preferably pcgrrll ).

Uh oh.

But I guess it's an opportunity to redemeem myself for mistakes I made in Orlando. Looks like I won't get a chance to do that in Las Vegas.

Oh, I would certainly do it on a weekend. I have school during the week. The question is what weekend is best for most people.

The Oct 1-2 weekend will work only if I fly down early Saturday morning and fly back to NJ Sunday evening.

What airport(s) do I want to fly to?

I'm interested, but the "Hot-ami" name is turning me off a bit.

Talk to Francesco. He's good with names.

Miami (MIA) or Ft. Lauderdale (FLL). I would rather pull out my nails than fly into or out of Miami, but that may be just me. FLL is much closer to my house anyway, so that is what I use, whenever possible. West Palm Beach (PBI?) is an outside possibility, but it is about two hours from Miami and over an hour from FLL, so I would not recommend it, unless it is an amazing deal, and you have a car.
