Mine did the same thing 702. I forced a call and the next call was moved from 2:48 5/17 to 3:48 5/25. I think I'll force a call just after midnight and see if my number is up next anyway...
I've been wanting to hack this thing and I almost went to 4.0, but then the superpatch came out and I decided to wait for 6.2.
C'mon DTV, I'm ready to pop the cover on this baby!

12:25 AM, and nothing here. Neither of the DTivos did anything after forcing calls on both. Shucks.

Funny thing is I never forced a call until today when I noticed my call in time was moved.

Hellloooooo 6.2. Restarting now. 2-3 year old HDVR2.

My daughter just walked into the room, stopped dead, jaw dropped, and pointed at the TV (showing the big DirecTV logo and the text, "Preparing service update... This may take up to an hour.") and giggled loudly while exclaiming, "LOOK AT THE TV, MOMMY!!!! IT'S DOING FUNNY THINGS!!!!!!!!!!!"

Leave it to a four year old...

I didn't get a letter or anything but I forced a daily call last night and got the upgrade! Sucks it's not going to my main tivo though. (hr10-250). I'm in FL.

I have 4 Tivo's and none of them have gotten the upgrade as of this morning. I'm in NW Indiana. Actually from what I see it seems a lot of people have gotten it so we might be soon.

Everybody has to remember, the whole Country is not getting it the first day. They're not going to upgrade everyone at once.
Give it time.......

I do realize this. I'm absolutely amazed at how many people received it so quickly last night. It seems as if 1/2 of the regulars who have been discussing 6.2 in depth received it. I only care about getting it on a particular machine as I want to put a large drive in it....

We're just a little excited. I also have a 157 hour DVR40 that's VERY slow, I assume because of the extra data it has to parse. I'd love to get the speed on that one.

Does anyone know if this is true of the 6.2 software or am I remembering wrong on the R10? I think it was ebonic's review of the R10 I read that in. Sorry if I'm wrong Earl.

There are several 1/2 hour sitcoms I watch that the 10 would be a useful setting, especially after I throw a bigger hard drive in, after the upgrade.

I just checked it out and yes, there is an option to keep 10 episodes in 6.2.

Thank you very much for the reply. For me this will be a handy feature for those favorite 30 minute sitcoms.

That's because Maine is outside the U.S.... Canada should be the last to get the new software

Directv is only doing 100,000 boxes a day, you may not be at the top of the list.
Also, they're upgrading at random, not by Location or Receiver type

I would think 1 out of 6 (I have 6 DVRS) would be lol If I don't get at least 1 tomorrow, I'm going to be surprised.

Some people do not have a traditional phone line so they wire there TiVo to there computer with a serial cable and make set the DirecTiVo to make it's call thru the computer with PPP (Point to Point Protocol).

One of my units was scheduled to call last night about 7:30 pm. I had forced early calls with no luck. After the 7:30 call still no update and the next call was NEXT Tuesday! I waited about an hour, forced another call and got the update. I was pretty surprised.

I like folders so far. I tried swapping the order of two programs in the Season Pass Manager and there was a wait but I don't know if it was as long as with 3.x.

I'll go check the other machine and see if it go the update on its own.

Nope, my other unit had not updated so I forced a call and it still did not update. Another call is not scheduled till the 25th. Very strange.

No dice

No luck in Des Moines, IA. I've tried 6 forced calls last night. Once this morning. And just a minute ago (6:40 pm).

Enough with this foreplay. Can't we just get it done for all of us?
