Just thought I would mention that there is a dinner in Boston planned for the 5th of November.

Hmmm...

I'd suggest next Thursday in Hartford. Maybe around 9pm.

I'll be around, anyone want to grab a late dinner in Hartford on 11/10?

Friday night I will be somewhere between 1 and 3,000 miles away. Depends on the time.

Thursday's the only night I can do...

It's a 2 hour drive from Boston... I'd be getting home incredibly late, but this *is* plausible...

Wow, so close after getting spousal approval for tomorrow's Boston dinner, I might have trouble swinging this, but I'd love to meet the Pony. Hartford is only 45 minutes away for me.

So what happened to this thread in August anyway? (I missed it then)

I'm game. We have Friday off for Veteran's Day, so I don't have to worry about work the next day.

It's 30 min. from my part of Queens (Shawn and I have clocked it many times on the way to visit his family in CT).

Edit: I'm very wrong, just ignore me

Unfortunately it is more than 30 minutes from Queens, but you and Shawn should come anyway.

Stanford (as in Stanford University) is at least five hours by AIR from NYC.

Stamford, OTOH, is probably 30 minutes by car or train.

I'd rather have dinner at Stanford (most likely at my brother's) than in Stamford.

I'll be in Hartford, hungry, at 9pm on Thursday.

I know absolutely nothing about Hartford (other than the Whalers)...anyone have recommendations on where the good food is?

I'll probably need a ride to the eating establishment as well. No car for me. Anybody willing to come pick me up?

Pony

Where are you going to be? I am sure I could pick you up. I'll check with some coworkers tomorrow who live closer to Hartford for some ideas.

It is also 2 hours from Boston. That is all it will ever be. Hartford is the half-way point between Boston and New York. I heard they were building some kinda giant one-of-a-kind stadium so that Hartford could be known as the city which had that stadium instead of as the half-way point between Boston and New York. Yeah, uhh, good luck with that.

That said, if this were on a weekend, I'd go. If it's this Thursday, oh well. Maybe next time?

Trumbull Kitchen sounds excellent, if people are up for that. Tapas, fondues, entrees...lots to choose from.

Then again, I could go for one of the pubs...Pettibones is haunted, but Wood-n-Tap sounds good too.

Who's coming?

Well, I didn't really have an objection to any of the places listed, So if Pony likes Trumball Kitchen and there are no other objects then I would says lets go there. So I'd like to get a list of Attendees together to see how large the group is going to be and possibly make a reservation.

So reading the thread I see lots of interested but not many definetes. Reply or send me a pm so I can update the list.

Definite:
