NYC Meet 11/17 - 11/20

I will be there for work, but done on that Thursday afternoon, the 17th and staying for the weekend. I just noticed a NYC thread for October, so I figure I better mention this as well. Any interest in some sort of meet? I will be sightseeing, as well, as I haven't been to NYC since 1978.

UPDATE:

Definite attendees for Saturday evening festivities

I think Handan and I will be ready for a NYC trip by then. If everyone's up for it, we can show you our favorite dumpling place in Chinatown (Joe's Shanghai )

Indy is neither old enough nor the correct gender to be your bubbie. And, he isn't jewish. Aside from that call him bubbie anytime.

There seems to be confusion between bubbie (which means grandmother, and the first vowel sound is uh as in "under"), and another word with a slightly different vowel sound like the "uh" in "wood," which is a more general term of endearment. Of course, that second word is probably best spelled "boobie," though that spelling is reserved for an English word that means something much cooler.

Indy could be the second, but is probably not the first. Ok, bubaleh?

As for an NYC meet, I'm a maybe, but I'm also in the camp of people who have to be there the following weekend, and might not be able to make two in a row.

OK, fine. Besides, Indy's really a mensch.

Jeremy, Joe's Shanghai sounds great. I am probably the only person who's worked in NYC for 25 years and has never eaten in Chinatown.

Technically, both are terms of endearment used for anyone you like, young or old.

Indi,

I'll be there, the October date is easier for me, which I will also attend. I would not miss the opportunity to spend a little time with Indi sightseeing. Any particular plans? How about the ferry ride around NYC?
