Just an idea for a Sat night dinner - there is a great place that does a wine tasting Prix Fixe. You get 3 courses (lots of great food) and all the wine and champagne you can drink for one price. You have to go 8PM or later (after the theater crowd is gone), but they can take large parties with advance notice.
Let me know if this is of any interest - I would be happy to organize.
What's the ballpark on something like that? And where's there some Hooters around there?
The last time I went, I think it was $60 a head, which is a great deal for all that food an wine (by NYC standards!).
As for Hooters, I don't know any in NYC, but we could do Hogs and Hefers, Coyote Ugly, Red Rock - there are several fun drinking spots with cute all-female barstaff.
Cité's Famous Wine Dinner
Known for its ever-popular wine dinner, Cité, a steakhouse in the theater district is the perfect place to indulge for two or in a group. After 8:00 p.m. on weekdays, or after 5:00 p.m. on Sundays, the Wine Dinner prix fixe kicks in and the restaurant fills up with spirits. The 13 year old tradition features four award winning wines, each an accoutrement to one course or the other, poured freely while you enjoy dinner. There is no catch. For $69.00 choose from any appetizer on the menu, any entree and any dessert - and the wines are "on the house."
