 The 2nd NY meet, the closest they'll be to me, and I still can't make it! It's Harry Potter weekend, I'm working till 5, the train station is 20 minutes away from there, and I don't have the cash. I need to get a new headlight for my car so it can pass inspection (and you know, so I can see at night), windshield wipers because mine just suck, and I need to make my measly minimum wage paycheck last 2 more weeks after that. Just a question here, sitting in a hotel room in Indiana...(don't ask)...
It looks like I will be driving in during the day on Saturday. I will really, really try to be close to on time, and leave early enough, but I'm driving in from Ohio...so please, cut me a lil' break if you can Oh, the question. What's an easy train station to drive into, park easily, and take the train to Penn Station? (As I recall, that's just a short walk from Stout.) Free parking at the train station would be good, but anything that isn't a huge amount would be OK as well. I'm mostly looking for convenience. Easy to find, and close enough so it's not a 3 hour train ride or anything, and in a safe area. I haven't gotten a place to stay yet, but that's secondary...I can drive to it wherever it is. (Not sure if Mike has my cell number, so I'll PM...I'm pretty sure Sheryl does...) |

There's a Park & Lock on 42nd Street, between 11th and 12th Ave (on the north side of the street). That's my favorite place to park -- central location, reasonable prices, you park & lock it yourself (so you have easy access to go back to it to unload purchases
)
