Actual potential spoiler, which I'm very angry about:

Today's NY Daily News has a photo of ...

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Ana Lucia with two CHILDREN, a boy and a girl .. and the girl appears to be holding the teddy bear we saw last week. Ana has her 'Lost' attire on and the background seems to indicate that they are on the island ...

The article is about death of characters in TV shows. I've never seen anything about this photo, so I'm assuming it is from tonight's episode .. and the article gives NO warning whatsoever. Nasty e-mail to writer sent.

Could someone kindly direct me to the thread that details the contest we seem to be having about who can start an episode thread the earliest?

Seriously, this and the Arrested Development thread were both started way ahead of the shows' airings this week by people who just wanted to be the one to start the thread. As far as I know, there's no kind of prestige to go along with that.

Of course, it's not hurting anything to do that. It just doesn't seem to make any sense.

I had a dream where Sawyer and the tailies are walking along a rocky coast and Sawyer passes out...someone says his name then someone points a gun at someone and a voice says "one of these survivors will be lost forever" then it goes black and I can see the work "L O S T" floating in the air...wait, that's not a dream! It's the blerb shown over and over for the last 3 weeks!

Looking forward to learning what they meant by "lost forever"...I don't think it means killed.

I've decided that my 'I don't want to watch next weeks previews' for every show... LOST, CSI... Survivor... etc.' Its not worth the hassle of dealing with my family, but what its REALLY not worth is trying to dodge all the slips and spoilerized discussions on the forum.

I'm just gonna watch them from now on.

Yay! Another one succumbs!

Those durn previews have been killing me. Can't wait for tonight.

There should really be a betting pool for who's going to be "lost forever." I'm not convinced that the spoilers floating around aren't intentional misinformation.

I don't know what magazine it was, but they had odds on who was going to be "lost forever" thier favorite was:
Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Shannon

I wonder if Vegas has a line on this?

I'm sure too many people know the answer for Vegas to have a line. Then again, I've seen places bet on the winners of Survivor and Amazing Race, where there could be tons of people who already know (particularly the latter).

Personally, I'm torn about the rumors.

Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
While I agree the majority that Shannon is damn annoying, the killing of her after Boone pretty much closes the door on their stories. I'd hate to see an entire branch of the whole picture cut off because of the character's personality. I'd rather lose someone who keeps us with the entire picture, like Boone did. I'm unsure who that could be, other than a tail section survivor.

IIRC, only offshore books can accept bets on the winners of Survivor/Amazing Race, et. al.

My understanding is that...
Spoiler Alert! (highlight to read)
Maggie Grace wanted a reduced shooting schedule so she could be in the new X-Men movie and J.J. Abrams said that the only way she could get a reduced schedule would be for Shannon to be killed off. So basically she was in a position of having to choose between the two roles and went with the movie one.

No cite I'm afraid but what I heard from somewhere.

I've heard that info as well, actually.

We'll find out in 8 hours or so.~ At which point I'm sure this thread will be 4+ pages long (by my view, anyway)

Which is why there should be both a pre and post show thread.

What's even funnier about the competition to start a thread is that when I saw this thread on the list I checked my watch...looked at the calendar...then wondered if they showed Lost in Europe or something...

I kinda figured she'd be the victim since the episode was about her (unless she decided to avenge Boone and kill Locke) but man the way she got shot was a surprise. The group dynamics are going to be real interesting going forward.

Do we know for sure she was killed? I don't remember what the advertisements said, though I think it said someone was going to die. Is it possible we still don't know who that someone is... could it still be either Sawyer or Shannon? Or that useless character who vanished?

I saw it, but I was looking for Jack the minute they showed the hospital.

I'll say it...I thought it was perhaps the weakest episode so far...

Shannon, Michael, Charlie, Anna and Sawyer were all very annoying to me for some reason tonight. And it seems like a waste of time doing Shannon's flashbacks just to kill her off. I don't know...this one just felt like filler to me.

Filler? I thought they moved things forward a lot and really had a lot of action after the lay off

Darwin strikes again. There was obviously something freaky going on with Walt...the way he kept showing up. Then he shows up again, tells her twice to ssshhhhhhh, and what's she do? Scream at the top of her lungs.

Michael was a close second with his obnoxious screeming and yelling, but Shannon wins the award.
