So far it seems like ice skating, the Nat'l Air & Space Museum Udvar-Hazy Center, and DC sightseeing might each have a few people interested. Anyone else care to chime in?

UH is always fun. I'm still trying to find out what I can afford time wise. Need to talk to sister and see when she's coming in.

No Ice skating for me. Last time I went, I broke my arm. I've been a bit gun shy ever since.

I'm not a fan of sports where you strap things on your feet (except scuba). And I'm a spaz at ALL winter sports. However, I'm happy to tag along, drink hot chocolate, and take pictures of you all falling on your a**es.

Awww. And I thought she meant TAKE me.

And don't worry, Merc. If she's that bad at finding, she's got to be horrible at hiding. It's not like she's giving up a big secret.

I'd be up for touristy stuff on Saturday, even the Manasas battlefield if it was not too cold.

I missed this the first time around. I'm still planning on and looking forward to Ford's Theatre. (Although I haven't checked if and when it's open. Perhaps we should do that.)

I'm also up for some Geocaching as long as it's somewhat easy.

Edit: Looks like they have a production on New Years' Eve, so I'm guessing they're open at some point.

I'll take a non-fat Peppermint Mocha. It will be the holiday season, you know.

Edit: I forgot to mention how impressed I was that you remembered my drink, HB.

Nat'l Air & Space Museum sounds great!! or that geocaching that I keep meaning to read up on... or skating (altho I worry about my current skill-set in this regard)... or helping Merc with prepwork... or whatever! I'm easy.

I'm not arriving until 10am - so probly get to the hotel by ??. So, whatever begins around then sounds good to me.

Which airport? Dulles? Depeneding on factors you can get to the hotel in about 30 minutes or less. Probably airport to hotel ride logistics (taxi, rental car, TCF bum-a-ride) plus luggage pikcup are your limiting factors.

I think you mean the Natural History Museum.

You can get visitor's information (hours, etc.) on all the Smithsonian museums on their website.

Yes, Dulles... glad it's not too far.
Guess I'll take the advice of these seasoned meet-goers and just bring panties and a toothbrush. Talk about packing lightly...

So if people want to do traditional DC sightseeing (note: this type of stuff is usually done at a time when it's not too cold to walk around), I'm happy to lead the tour.

We'll figure out a way to either tough it out, or drive around (city should be relatively empty, I think).

Panties are optional.

If we do arrive on Friday, I am up for DC sightseeing as well.

Oh, and I may have some nice panties (thongs, too) and bras left over from my last job if you need them, TB! Or I can get you a tankini if you prefer swimwear!

Of course if you ladies want to have a lingerie party instead of the tour, that's fine.

I'll try to think of a way we can do the traditional Mall monuments, and still spend most of the time inside (like at a museum).

Drive by monuments, wave at monuments, park car near museum, walk inside quickly.... ?
