So What Do You Want To Do In Vegas?

Besides go to the 'Con and hang with the peeps?

As for me:

High End Dining (Kitchen Table, anyone?)
Avenue Q
Roadtrip to Red Rocks
Lounge by the pool (Cabana time!)

Vegas, it seems so far away, but yet I can't wait ,

I am definetly interested in lounging by the pool, and will probably extend my trip just for this purpose, Looking at prices for Mandalay Bay weekend of 22nd

For shows I would like to see Second City and/or Blue Man Group,

As for dining, I would have to give that some thought, Kitchen Table seems a little bit more high end then I want but I would definetly be up for going out for a nice meal.

Gregor, do you have a link for Kitchen Table? I just googled it but couldn't find anything. I *might* be interested in some high end dining (of course I'm not sure just HOW high end this place is!)

I like the Kitchen table and Blue Man best of all. Of course, a poker game or two would be nice.

Looking forward to seeing you all again, and of course, all of the TC Con members attending for the first time.

BTW, I'm working on some new gifts too go along with my annual TC Con shirts.

I don' t have a Kitchen Table link. What I was going to do is find out from a couple of restaurants if they have Kitchen Tables and how much it would cost.

The Kitchen Table or Chef's Table is a special table that some restaurants run. It's usually a prix fixe meal, and the chef makes what they want, based on preferences you give them.

Here's Pony's link to last year's gig:

http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-v...t=kitchen+table

and the reporting link:

http://www.tivocommunity.com/tivo-v...ingly+delicious

The bill ended up being $190 per person, if I remember correctly.

It was, as Bob promised, so worth it

Emirl has a place at the Venetian. (across the street from TI). It's a steakhouse type place, but they have a chef's table/kitchen table there.

Last time I was in Vegas we stayed at the Venetian. And I do believe that we eat at The DelMonico (Someone else was paying!) but I was not blown away by anything but the check

Hmm Avenue Q, didn't know what it was, but anything with " Lucy the Slut puppet" has to be worth seeing.

Avenue Q is number one on my list. I'd even miss Quark's if it meant doing only one or the other.

(thankfully, it doesn't mean doing one or the other. )

I'd like to try the Kitchen Table this time around, provided that's an option. Having to host the evening games last time meant I couldn't even submit my name to the pool. :/

I was thinking about scheduling KT another night from the Con. One thing I have learned over the past couple Cons is that I overschedule tremendously.

KT had to be Monday last year because that was the only time Pony could do it. He missed dessert so he could catch his flight...

I'd like to see Avenue Q as well, and I am thinking about seeing Mystere (Cirque du Soliel). I'd also be interested in the backstage tour of the Star Trek Experience, and a nice meal, though not necessarily KT.. It's a lot of money and I'm not sure I'd feel rewarded with my dietary limitations.

They were able to substitute fish for meat in most cases. I think Steve is right, depending on your diet it might not be worth it.

Meet more peeps (#1 goal).

Eat good food.

Play some Jenga/Pictionary/Video Poker.

Sleep in late, stay up later.

See a show (maybe Cirque?)

Get railroaded into some trouble by that DeeDee chick.

Drink until I'm cross-eyed and forget which room I'm SUPPOSED to be in.

(Then do it all over again the NEXT day.)
