There's probably a few bucks to be made for someone to pay for a mechanical license and sell Barney's Ultimate Mix CD.

"People say a good mix should rise and fall, but I disagree: a truly awesome mix should be all rise."

If by "rise" he means energy and tempo, then "Come Sail Away", while a kick-ass song no doubt, doesn't really fit the criteria.

Barney's blog is almost always epic. I was pretty disapointed in the episode I guess I was getting my hopes up for a christmass episode with the ovious "santa suit up" line. I would love to see how barney uses christmass to hook up with women.

#11 definitely doesn't belong in that spot either.

Was the whole playlist played during the episode? I listened to #6 a lot growing up - it was the song near the climax in a film I really liked in High School, and would use it when working out. I would have expected to recognize even just a few seconds. Then again, I'm getting old.

Was #6 popular outside of movies? I never have and never will have a sense of pop culture.

If you haven't alread, check out Barney's Evite on his blog. Especially funny is the list (and categorizing of said lists) of who's coming and who isn't.

We know Robin is not their mother because in the first episode Ted concluded by saying "And that's how I met your Aunt Robin".

I don't think we are meant to infer that their mother is Robin's sister. IIRC Ted has also referred to "Uncle Barney".

What if Barney & Robin got married? I don't recall Ted saying Uncle Marshall or Aunt Lily do you?

I do. I am pretty sure he referred to both of them that way in the episode when Lily visits Marshall's family.
